I've always wanted to go to Sakartvelo, and for my first vacation in almost a year, I'm taking a week off in either October or November. I'm really excited but also very uninformed about travelling there. Sorry for the wall of questions but hopefully you'll give me a taste of Georgia hospitality over the internet.

I'm Lebanese but I live in Dubai, and while people here wonder why I'm "going to the cold", the cold is a big plus for me nonetheless. However, are touristic/cultural activities and venues much slower during the autumn? I'd love to come during ski season but we don't always get what we want...

So far I've only read extensively about Tbilisi and Kutaisi. I don't how much of the country is easily accessible during the colder months. Will I be able to get around easily enough with little to no knowledge of Kartuli? Any recommendations on how to travel and where to go? Should I spend a day in Gori or Ushguli?

I'm considering spending weekends couchsurfing and weekdays at a hostel. Does anyone have positive/negative stories about either? Also, recommendations for where to stay?
-
Any tensions, political economic or otherwise, that I should know about? I haven't heard of anything recently but I'm well informed generally.

How is bar/going out culture in cities? Can I walk into any bar and strike up a conversation with someone (to the best of our linguistic abilities) or just get to know people better? I'm flying solo. I'm not really looking for expat bars or tourist traps either, obviously.
-
Any hidden gems I should look out for?
-
Finally, any rules/laws I should be aware of? Besides not being an obnoxious tourist or being disrespectful etc...
Thanks in advance! I'm really looking forward to it. I'm planning on getting my tickets sometime this week.
Edit: Is it worth making my trip correspond with Tbilisoba? https://19216881.org/ https://1921681001.link/ https://19216801.digital/
