Georgian Ski Federation will be promoting the celebration of the World Snow Day in Gudauri on 21 January, 2012.
A number of relay competitions are to be held.
The relay race will feature skiing, snowboarding, tube sliding and numerous fun elements such as overcoming various hurdles or obstacles in a certain way with certain emphasis on team work.
The festival will be concluded by the relay race awards ceremony with special festivities.

"The snow depth reached to the desired level today morning. The slopes are already opened, the ski-lifts began to work. In New Gudauri you will welcome the additional services – new platter-lift, moving carpet and other services will be launched. “New Gudauri” is waiting for its devoted guests and tourists. Ski resort will be fully exploited from tomorrow morning".

Tbilisi Mountain, Adventure and Extreme Film Festival Niamori announced that starting from today up to March 20, 2012 on it’s FB page is going to publish videos (films) about climbing, adventure, traveling, extreme… the video length would be 9min (maximum 35-40 min). the foreign films must be accompanied by subtitles in English. You can comment your impressions and ideas on our FB page, about your favorite films too. After organizing board selection, the most popular videos would be screened on movie theater on a big screen, on April 2012. For details you can contact us on the mail niamori@niamori.ge. We will send you the application form and only after this your film will be participate in Niamori Film Festival.
